Queens Library to host Know Your Rights session
Queens Library is hosting a Know Your Rights session for immigrants next week on what to do if you encounter Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
At the Broadway branch, the bilingual workshop (conducted in English and Spanish) by a lawyer will help immigrants understand what to do if they are stopped by ICE.
It will provide important information on your rights, arrest tactics they use and creating a safety plan for the family.
The session will take place on Thursday, October 12 at 6 p.m.
