Nonprofits to gather at “Art of Thriving” Conference
Leaders at nonprofits around the city can attend the third annual “Art of Thriving” Not-For-Profit Conference in Astoria this Thursday.
The conference, which is presented by Investors Bank, is meant to help organizations manage risk effectively and efficiently. It also offers a chance for organizations to discuss embracing the new approach to leadership created by the Millennial generation in a panel entitled “Millennial Leadership and Building the Future of Your Not-For-Profit.” Queens Council on the Arts Directory Hoong Yee Lee Krakauer will be the panel’s moderator.
The keynote address will be given by Philippa Girling, a senior vice president and chief risk officer at Investors Bank. Girling was named one of the decade’s “Top Fifty Faces of Operational Risk.”
The event will begin with breakfast and a networking session. Space is limited for the conference, so pre-register online at InvestorsBank.com/register.
The conference will be held at Museum of the Moving Image, located at 36-01 35th Avenue in Astoria, and will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
